Unlike Excle, StarCalc does not provide a preset format option for Social Security numbers. I've tried to use the normal User Defined options, but nothing works. To make things even stranger, here in New England, most SSN's have one or two leading "0".

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

I guess you don't need the numeric value of the SSN. I'd format it as a string.

If in Calc you can use the following User Defined formats.
0##-##-####
or
000-00-0000
